學院簡介

關於理工學院

本院於民國113年8月1日起,奉教育部核定,由理學院與工學院合併並更名為理工學院。114學年度共有大學部11系、研究所碩士班6班、產碩專班1班及學士後專班1班。
原理學院包括:應用數學系、光電物理系、化學系、地理系、大氣及地質科學系、生命科學系,及應用化學、地理、大氣地質碩士班。著眼國家社會需要與國際科技發展趨勢,推動整合式的自然科學教學與研究,讓學生習得理論與實用結合的知識與技能。
原工學院包括:化學工程與材料工程系、電機工程系、機械工程系、紡織工程系、資訊工程系,及化學工程與材料工程學系奈米材料所、機械工程學系數位機電所、資訊工程學系碩士班、紡織產業碩士專班。以『科文共裕』、『理論與實務並重』及『結合區域科技產業發展』作為辦學重點及追求特色。

College of Natural Science and Engineering

Starting from August 1, 2024 (Year 113 of the Republic of China), with approval from the Ministry of Education, the College of Science and the College of Engineering were merged and renamed the College of Natural Science and Engineering.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, the College offers 11 undergraduate departments, 6 master’s programs, 1 industry-focused master’s program, and 1 post-baccalaureate program.
The former College of Science comprised the Departments of Applied Mathematics,  Optoelectric Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Atmospheric and Geological Sciences, and Life Sciences, as well as master’s programs in Applied Chemistry, Geography, and Atmospheric & Geological Sciences. With a focus on national and social needs and international trends in science and technology, it promoted integrated natural science teaching and research, equipping students with knowledge and skills that combine theory and practical application.
The former College of Engineering included the Departments of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology and Innovation Application Engineering, Computer Science and Information Engineering, as well as master’s programs in Chemical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Engineering. Its academic priorities emphasized mutual enrichment of science and culture, integration of theory and practice and linking education with regional technological and industrial development.
